Miriam Defensor Santiago is the most qualified presidential aspirant. I think not voting for her because of BBM is an inference that does not follow from the premise. Ano ba hinahanap mo? Is BBM liable to be called on to answer the violence of the Martial Law? Isn't it being not able to use reason and good judgement? What lunacy! We need sincere and honest people to run this country. We've heard the Marcos stories and their enemies' stories, and the real victims are we, the people who think only the Marcoses are to be held responsible for the poverty and suffering of this country. We've failed to see the truth in our midst. We've failed to see and realise the fictionalised history and the betrayal that it turned away in shame and anger. Well, sometimes, we need not look to history for our opinions. Our experience of events is worthier of confidence than what the biased historians say in our history books.
